Rodolfo Piazza Pfitscher da Silva is an independent dance creator and performer. He is based in Berlin/Brandenburg where he studied and has worked and collaborated with various interdisciplinary artists from dance, music and theatre in Germany and Europe. His style is in between poetry and humor, from medieval to techno.

Rodolfo Piazza was born 1987 in São Paulo, Brazil. His parents Ana Mondini and Umberto da Silva were both dance artists with a fundamental influence on Brazil's contemporary dance in the 80´s and 90´s. At the age of 9 he moved with his family to Weimar/ East Germany, as his parents started to work with Ismael Ivo. At a young age he got in touch with acting and improvisation theatre, where he soon started traveling in Germany with.

Since 2011 he works and gains experience as a freelance dance artist himself. He studied in a private dance school in Berlin and his style as a dancer and performer has been influenced by artists Constanza Macras (ARG/ DE), Vladimir Varnava (RU) and by the vivid Berliner dance scene.

He has found his own artistic expression through the deep collaboration with freelance choreographers, musicians and artists Irina Pauls (Leipzig), Daniel Ernesto Müller (NRW), Ruth Kemna (DE/IT) and Victoria McConnell (USA/DE) with whom all he continuously works witch since 2016.

His dance career has brought him to places such as Staatsoper Unter den Linden, Semperoper Dresden, komische Oper Berlin, Pierre Boulez Saal and Elbphiharmonie. He is fascinated by multidisciplinary stage pieces and by site specific dance pieces, where stage is brought to untypical places.

Since 2023 he is part of Tanzinitiative Brandenburg, who’s aim is to bring and connect dance to rural spaces.
